I don't think you need much practice, that is really pretty, seems like you have already mastered it

Thimblebug,

I got the idea from Suzanne Earley's book Meandering Magic. It was a big help. Before I got her book I wasn't able to free hand a feather design. At least not a half way decent one. lol.

Wow--that's PRACTICE? Looks like the real thing to me! I'm envious. I recently tried FMQ and i cannot get smooth at all yet at any rounded areas; they are all a bit blocky. I need lots and lots and LOTS of practice!!
