    FMQ Vest

Here are some pics of pieces for a vest I quilted for a friend. She plans to finish sewing it together and then line it and add beads. I can't wait to see what the finished vest will actually look like when she's done!

This vest is FMQ using Superior Magnifico poly thread on a faux suede fabric with a light 80/20 batting. It was a bit of a challenge because I couldn't really do any marking on the fabric; instead I used masking tape for guide lines. I did the quilting on my domestic machine, a Juki TL98Q.

This is just beautiful. Sometime last year, someone posted on here FMQ on a denim jacket that was spectacular. Was that your work also?

Nope, I'm pretty sure the denim jacket you are asking about was done by debcaven here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...t-t206513.html (I think that jacket is pretty spectacular too!)

That is oh so stunning! I'm totally impressed by the workmanship, the design and simply by the idea of using the quilting to texturize a garment. Beautiful job.

You did that on a Juki! I want to be you when I grow up! Amazing. I have a Juki. I need to start practicing! You have an amazing talent. And you are a very good friend to do that beautiful work for her.

Maybe she should make a vest for you? Turn about is fair play.
