With the help of some members of this wonderful site who sent me scraps of fabric, I'm now ready to start working on a tabletop made of applique jars with food fabric.
Here is my first sample. The jar is my own design and is appliquéd on my embroidery machine.
Size of the design is 4x4".

I put the outline of the jar in silver thread (as in the color of glass), and I was thinking if it would be better to use a thread that matches the color of the fabric.

great job, I love your design, I wouldn't change anything with it, beautiful, would be cute in a kitchen wallhanging, potholders, placemats, table toppers, etc.

Love it......the jar would not show if you matched the thread to the fabric colour.

this is the first time i have seen a jar like this and i really like it. Did you make this pattern for the jar or is it a machine applique? I reread it and you did make it; well I do like it a bunch vvn.
