I was going through my stash and found this attempt I made trying to make a quilt top. It has been 3 or 4 years ago. I really don't feel like doing it but I have all the material, so I guess I will give it a try. I want something fresh and new, but I will make the effort. It just does not appeal to me, but I do like the colours.

Oh, I love it. It can come live with me any time. I have a friend, too, who loves anything purple. It is a very pretty Trip Around the World.

so, if you like the fabrics, but don't like the quilt what is stopping you from using the fabrics to make something else? you bought it you can do any thing you want with it. no reason to try to work on something you don't like, when you have the fabric to do something you do like.

I love it! Purple is becoming one of my favorite colors. I even painted my sewing/craft room in lavender and put in lavender carpet. But now I wish I had not carpeted, can't hear things drop anymore. LOL

I love purple.! It would look great with a narrow gold-ish border and then maybe a larger border of a print, the possibilities are endless--I encourage you to finish--and post a pic.

Love it!! I think once you finish the top and start quilting it...it will start taking on some additional character and look really nice. It already looks wonderful. LOVE, love the purple!!! You did a great job choosing the fabric designs and colors to really compliment each other.

Just put a border or two on it and you're done! It'll make a great lap quilt or even a baby quilt.

so finish the pattern and then use it as a backdrop for some applique....since it's a dark background, a white or light colored flower would be nice...

I am thrilled that you are going to finish this. I love the fabrics and the Trip Around the World is one of my favorite patterns. You can quilt each one so different. And anything purple is beautiful IMHO. My fav. color. Cannot wait to see it completed!

I love the purples you have in this quilt. Adding a border or two and having it quilted will bring on a new look yet! Finish it and if your still not happy with it use it as a gift for someone and you will make someone else very happy!!! But I am betting you will keep it for yourself...I know I would!
