Someone on here did a gorgeous quilt using this technique, can't find who it was but she steered me to Florentine by Robert Kaufman. It's not exactly this but a great starting point.
I bought 16 different fabrics for the inside borders before I had enough of the "right" colors and still a couple wouldn't be my first choice but what can you do. As they say, every monitor shows colors differently. Oh well, maybe they'll work someplace else.
At this rate I'll still be trying to use up my stash at 123! And even if I hit that (Lord have mercy) I probably won't be quilting.
Sure wish I could find the original posting to thank our helpful member.

Well, I finally found the original poster: It was Peckish, so I apologize to her!

I love everything about your gorgeous quilt...and who was the lucky person to hang the quilt from the roof top?

Such a good example of creativity. Beautiful arrangement of color and balance.

Hey Copycat, that was me! Too big for an indoor shot, the neighbor had a fit when she saw me but it was necessary!

Love this pattern. How much focus fabric did you use for this size quilt.
