Default Framed Rectangles quilt all batiks

Challenged myself to start and finish this quilt in a week, and made it all but hand-sewing the binding. I sent it to my DSIL, who is going thru chemo right now. Wanted to send her hugs, since we can't be with her.

It is a pattern from Maryquilts.com. All fabrics are batiks from my stash. I did have to purchase a backing ... just didn't have anything appropriate in my piles! I quilted it on my LA with a really quick over-all leafy design that seemed to fit the fabrics. I used Mettler variagated thread in the top and Bottom Line in the bobbin.

A lovely quilt with a beautiful backing. I know about cancer as my 31-year-old daughter-in-law has gone through chemo and a mastectomy a couple of weeks ago. No fun for anyone, especially my son whom I know is stressed.
