Default friend's applique quilt

I met a 92-yr old woman at a bingo game back in 2013. We got to talking about hobbies and i mentioned that i quilted. She told me she had a applique quilt kit that she had started but due to her arthritis was unable to complete. I offered to finish it for her although i knew my applique skills were far from perfect. I took my time and finally finished the applique. I looked for backing material to match the blue border ( the lighter blue in pictures) but was unable to find anything close. Upon asking my friend if she cared what color backing was used and getting her okay, i found a cream tone-on-tone that i picked up at a local thrift shop that was the exact size i needed. The quilting pattern is stamped on the material and is hard to see unless i get the light angled just right. But it is getting done and I am loving the result. Once the quilting is done, i'll turn the border to the back to bind it.

It's going to be beautiful! Please show it again when finished! It looks to be hand quilting and that makes it more special!
