I probobly could have it is just that sewing in a different direction example on the side creates the long line the other way. I did do that when I discovered I was short, I started adding on the the side to make that the longer part because I didn't have enough to do two more rows of 7 across. I finnished it the size it was as it wasn't for anything special.

Your quilt looks great so far. That's the one I am planning on making if I can ever get anywhere to buy some fabric. I live in a small town and we don't have much. One store 45 minutes away. I went there Saturday and the fabric was over $10 a yard. I can't pay that much. Any way, was curious to know if you needed the amounts that the pattern calls for. I thought it seemed like a lot of fabric for a twin sized quilt.

It does take ALOT of fabric especially the backing, Make sure you have enough!
Mine ended up being a small twin, I ran out of fabric it is about 44x68 inches It takes a LOT of fabric for the backing I used 5 yards should have had 6 1/2 just for the backing I used about 1 1/2 of the purple, 1 of the yellow and 1/2 for the green. I made a 100 mile trip yesterday looking for more of the fabric but it was all sold. I finnished it the size it was.

Upnorth, it's beautiful!

Have you tried online for the fabric? Or Ebay? If you know the manufacturer maybe Micheal's or JoAnn's or a store like that can order it for you.

Your quilt is awesome! I love the colors. I am signed up for a class to do that quilt so now I have an idea of how the colors work. Will make it easier to me to pick now that I have seen yours.

I really like the sashing matching the middle of the block. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
