oh my! old wooden spoons!!! My mom has them tooo.... from spinning wool into yarn........... those are keepers... what did you get them for if you mind me asking.

I've seen quite a few of those, well, similar, about 6 - 9in tall. The ones I saw were from industrial weaving mills. I don't have any myself, but I do have a bobbin carrier, that was shunted back and forth with the weft thread, between all the warps.

Ha!! I have some too were my that were my MIL..... I was planning on using them for a binding spool.. somehow suspend the spool so the binding can unreel easily at a tug......

they are pretty big.... Nice score..

I made candle holders out these when I bought some. They turned out real cute.

I have a couple of these that I just sit on a shelf. I have seen lights made using these....makes a nice light for a sewing room.

I have several. I stuck a candle in top and call them candlesticks. :-) I left mine the way I got them. I didn't paint or add any fixtures.

I have a tipped antique china cup with buttons spilling out onto the dresser scarf, on a dry sink of grandma's. That type of spool would add to it..I will be looking ! Thanks for the idea!
