So I saw an ad for a fabric sale. Apparently a local woman passed away and her guild was selling her stash. It sounded like she was quite a loner and no one had any idea how big of a stash this woman had. The entire garage was stacked with every type of fabric you can imagine, yards and yards of it. The driveway was full of notions and thread, ect. One of the women said that they had another sale earlier in the summer so what they had was only about half of the original stash! Crazy! I bougth all the christmas blocks/fabric in a bag for $4! There are about 150-200 blocks, most of them 9"!

    most of the fabric together

Wow, you really picked pretty ones! What a deal. I would've liked to have seen the garage, I would have been there all day and broke when I left!

I know, I would like to find a way to use some of the sqaures with my DJ exchange blocks, seeing as how they will be all christmas colors! We'll see. Some only have a couple of blocks of the fabric and the red and green with the little animals in the center have about 50 of each red and green borders. I'm thinking they may be special "christmas quilts" for my kids at some point. I'm excited by the possibilities.

What a wonderful treasure you got!! I'm sure that the original owner is thrilled that part of her stash went to someone that cherishes it and will use it well! Awesome!
