I got the instructions from Missouri Star tutorials, http://quiltingtutorials.com/all/dis...lock-tutorial/

then when I started laying out the blocks, I accidentally rotated a few and ended up with that odd pattern. Also I think I forgot to rotate the small 4 patch once I cut the center strips from the main four patch....but it is basically that pattern

Cool! I like your pattern. I didn't know a D4P could look like that What did you do differently?

Tomorrow when I get home from work, I will get a sample block made up with scraps to show what the tutorial said to do and what I did then it is just a matter of rotating the blocks to get that pattern.

As I am fond of saying "Never let the instructions get in the way of creativity" and if all else fails, " there is never a quilting mistake, it is all an Artistic Design Choice"

Beautiful quilt and great job on the quilting. Not my choice of fabrics, but this woould change my mind.

I like the contrast of the 70's gold and avocado with the new pinks and bright blues. Groovy!
