Default Gathering Baskets pieced by Linda

Oh my Gosh, another gorgeous quilt by Linda. Linda pieced this quilt (pattern by Primitive Pieces) (Lynda.com) Using civil war fabrics. Linda did her own take on the border and used wool for the applique instead of cotton as called for in the pattern. Linda prefers 80/20 batt for most of her quilts and it is perfect for this one. Her only request was that I add some quilting on top of the applique so it would not puff up too much. Custom, freehand on this one with a little ruler work for the scallopes on the baskets. And, yes a little stitching on the applique. Quilt measures 92 by 83 and I used a very dark grey, a gold and a light grey for the quilting threads. Enjoy!!!
