Thank you all so much!

Oksewglad: I had a big laugh about your comment and

QuiltE: so you are not jealous that you are not the only one with a Dresden Mini anymore....... lol.
I never heard the word tom boy, but I think I know exactly what you mean. And I think you are right.
Holding Aline in my arms the first time I forgot all about a princess quilt and plan on something with Pippi Longstocking

Oh I am sure there will be Princess Quilts
and Pippi Longstockings
... and so many more girly things for Miss Aline!

Now you really must tell us about the tears that poured over that wee one!

As for jealousy?
Definitely NOT!!
... for I am still amazed that you entrusted me with your first
and am truly honoured to have been gifted so generously.

Tom Boy ... I'm sure you figured it out ... a girl who is not "into" girly things like pink, lace, ruffles, quilting (*gasp*), dolls, staying clean etc ... and more interested in the traditional boy things of getting dirty, rough-tough, sports. And yes, often a result of being surrounded by boys!

I'm sure you will make sure she keeps a good balance ... and still appreciates the girly things!

Congratulations on the birth of your granddaughter! She looks as if she's dancing with joy. The quilt is lovely, too!
