Very pretty. I love the quilting.
I don't want to brag but I can still fit into the earrings I wore in high school.

This is a lovely treasure. You did a wonderful job and hard to believe it is our first applique (smile). Thank you for sharing.
Desiderata (Max Ehrmann) - Walk placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Great job.
"A smile costs nothing, but creates much good. It enriches those who receive it without impoverishing those who give it away. It happens in a flash, but the memory of it can last forever. No one is so rich that he can get along without it. No one is too poor to feel rich when receiving it. It is rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad and nature's best antidote for trouble. Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen."

For your very first applique'd quilt, you have done a marvelous job making it. I bet you can't wait to see your grand daughters face, when she get's it. Very nice work & a job well done.
