Default Geishas

Size: Approximately 14.5 x 23 inches

What I learned from this:

This was a challenge fabric. The repeat on this was 23-27 inches - we each got 1/2 yard to work with. That made it difficult to work with.

I made a huge bag/tote - and used a fairly large amount of the 1/2 yard for a pocket. This was going to be part of the inside pocket, but I decided I liked it well enough to finish it as a separate piece.

The quilting is "in the ditch".

I love what you did with that fabric! And your binding looks awesome, very professional.

Bear, this came together beautifully. Very inspired use of color and I'm going crazy for the neutral checkboard (if I remember that pattern is known as ichimatsu in Japan). It ties everything together and gives it a true Japanese feel. SO glad you are not using this elegant, eye catching piece as a lining. It deserves to be seen!
