Default Gentle lavender spring quilt.

I just finished this gentle lavender spring quilt. I am so ready for spring, and this light focus fabric has daisies on it. I am going to "offer it up to the weather gods" to see if I can get rid of the ice, snow, and freezing rain! Should work, right?

Yes, I know this quilt has no Wow factor, but not every quilt has to. This one is just gentle. I am going to try one of those large crayon quilts next, so I will get my Wow factor there.

Oh, the pattern is just a four square alternated with a focus fabric....simple and gentle.

So soft and pretty. Wow! quilts are wonderful, but there is much to be said for the peaceful and calm ones. Beautiful work.

PS: Where's my boy--shouldn't he be right in the middle of that?

To me, quilts express life in many ways. There are times, seasons of needing bright, bold colors/patterns to bring spunk or high spirits into the day. Then comes the times that one needs the soft, gentle tranquility to escape, collect thoughts, or sooth our souls. This quilt to me, speaks of that latter time. I love it. Thank you for sharing.

I would call it "sweet & serene".

Funny, Hot Rod should be in the middle of the quilt, you are right. I asked him about it, and he said it was too cold and he wasn't moving off of the back of the chair. I get the front of the chair, so my quilt inspector is still on duty, just not on the quilt.

Sometimes the low-contrast quilts are my favorites ... so soft and soothing. Hot Rod will get around to perching on it when he needs to shift positions from the comfy spot!
