What a brilliant way to work different patterns together. And I love the purple, it is a favorite of mine also.
A home is built of peace and love,
and not of wood and stone,
    a place where happiness lives
    and memories are sewn.

When I learned how to quilt, I forgot how to cook.

Very nice. I particularly like your choice of fabric for the sashing. It is perfect for the pattern and colours. I must remember to try other fabrics than my usual choice of solid (looking) fabrics.
