Default Geometric Storm

I made this quilt for my son Zachary for Christmas last year, he designed it and I pieced and quilted it. It is machine quilted on my DSM, with a stitch in the ditch. The design on the top is done with 1/4 inch binding tape stitched down with a double needle. My first time using a double needle but it went pretty well. The colors are much prettier in person, it is all black and grays then the vibrant blue trim and backing.

Wow! The electric blue highlights give it a kind of art-deco look and 'make' the quilt. Love it.

The blue does really pop against the monochromatic colors. What a great idea with the binding tape! Love it
