I used quite a bit of geometry for this, even hsd to get a protractor out for the pentagons and hexagons.

I used a long arm. Did one quilt on a domestic and decided I needed a long arm.

Thank you all. It was really cool to see it hanging at the show. My dad was not happy about me not getting a ribbon. He demanded a photo of the ones that won in my category. I decided against hanging it in my house, I sent it home with mom to give my dad.

The judges wrote a comment "great use of thread to create the illusion of transparency"
Am do glad they "got it" I was afraid they wouldnt understand the design, This piece actually came out exactly like I had envisioned. I am very happy with it.

that is fabulous! Love the transparency. Just finished reading a Joen Wolfam book on color and she needs a picture of your quilt to illustrate the transparency! Excellent!
