I finished my French Roses Bed runner and I love it! I decided to use this runner as a way of practicing FMQ. Well, I am now comfortable doing it but you can actually see my progress as I work my way around this quilt. Oh well, it can be my go to learning quilt. Hope you like it.

You did a beautiful job. You should be proud of the work you did on this. I think your inspector will give you a grade of "A".

That is beautiful. The roses look 3D, are they raw edge applique? You did a good job. And I like your quilting buddy.

Oh, I so love that! That is the prettiest one I've seen. I would LOVE to have that on my bed, and would start one right away, but alas, that's my baby sleeping at the foot of my bed in my avatar. So, even if I did make my own, inside of 48 hours it would have to be called "Furry French Roses"

Thank you everyone. You are all sooooo encouraging.
Gaigai - I can certainly relate - that "fur" on those roses helps keep us warm at night not to mention adding dimension to those roses. LOL

Mariposa - I couldn't find a pattern for French Roses so just cut out some "blobs" and went from there. I so fell in love with a quilt that someone posted (sorry don't remember the name) that I had to have my own.

Quilty Kitty - the rose pieces are just sewn onto the quilt top about 1/4" away from the raw edge so that they will ruffle when washed. I didn't use any fusible webbing with them.

Thank you again everyone for your kind comments.
