I made a quilt just like that about three years ago. My centers were all 5 sided black, all the pieces were smaller, and I had cornerstones of tiny pieces, too. 2.5 inch squares, and some had 11 pieces. Then I bordered it with a narrow red strip of many different red pieces and added piano keys of many different colors, sizes and widths. I got second place for viewer's choice at our quilt show. I think the black really makes it stand out, and this shows what you can do with all those scraps that usually get thrown away.
Yours is beautiful.

There was no label on it. Back then I guess people didn't think of putting labels on quilts. The person probably made it for themselves and didn't think it needed a label. I love it though.

What a wonderful find. What a wonderful quilt. The colors a just beautiful. The time someone took to cut, piece, and quilt it. Then someone just sends it to the goodwill for you to find and save. Good for you. You should be so proud.
