    To me it becomes a scrap if it is what is left at the end of a project and under a yd, then I cut it into strips or charms.

    Nice assortment of scraps. I consider any pieces too small to use in a patterned quilt a scrap. Although I have been using any leftover pieces.
    I think the scraps are getting ahead of me.
