The pattern is from the May 2010 issue of American Quilter magazine. It's called Magic Flowers and in the magazine it is done in pink and blue batiks. I used Civil War repros. I thought that the little squares in the blocks along the border looked unfinished, just floating out there all alone, so I came up with something to "connect" them to the border and added the vines/arcs. I also added the hearts in the centers and borders.

I love your pattern and play with fabrics although I prefr the smaller heart shown inn the quilt square

a beautiful change to the orginal. It does make it seem more complete. Thanks for showing us how some imagination can make the quilt turly our own.

Nice to see you posting again Pam. I wondered why you changed the direction of the hearts and that makes perfect sense that they will be upside down when on a bed if you didn't. The quilt is looking great.
