Good morning......Beachlady,
Grace had wanted back in the 70's to attend Gallaudet but there were obstacles blocking her at the time.....they insisted that hearing students have some experience ...so she decided that she would volunteer at the State school for the Deaf...but they insisted their volunteers have the education.
It was a lost cause at the time.......she instead went into library science......about 5 years ago, the local college started a program and then it developed into a full time course...and that is her story. After such a long time, she is now an interpreter.
She is with the local school system and also does free lancing.
....and loves every minute of it.
