Those quilts are awesome. Has she quilted before this summer? What a wonderful time she must have with you. I only wished my grandmother had lived to show me quilting. She died when I was 9 yrs. old. My mother never did crafts, but she said I had my grandmothers crafting genes. I just started quilting 2 1/2 yrs ago when I retired. I wish I had taken the time to take classes sooner. She will remember this time of her life as long as she lives. Warm and cozy thoughts of you and the precious summers.

MUAH!!! The quilts are awesome. Now, what is she going to do with them? Show at a county fair, give to friends or relatives or just enjoy them herself?

This gives me the oomph to start teaching my 9 year old DGD.

Wow!!! Those are spectacular. Did you teach her to quilt? I'm sure she is a natural and just wait to see what she does as she gets older.

I would be proud of her too. I can't wait until my GD's can come and stay for a week or so and we can work on sewing.
