So nice that you and your DGD were able to do this. She will remember it forever. Some memories don't fade.

My 16 year old granddaughter is supposed to visit me for a month this summer. She has not-too-enthusiastically agreed to make herself a quilt. I gave her a second chance to say 'NO, I don't want to do that.' and she said she'd do it.

We MIGHT have a great time this summer...but we might not. Only time will tell.

Thankyou for the generous compliments. No this isn't her first quilt, but, it is her first bed quilt. She has made a couple log cabin pillows for her DM and a doll blankie. She is 15 and a half now but started sewing with me for about 4 years. She doesn't sew with me often but when we do, we sure do have fun.

Now that's quality time! I sure hope my GD wants to sew as she grows up.

Beautiful quilt. And lucky you having your granddaughter be your quilting buddy.
