Wink Grandiflora #3, an Orange Peel Mini

This was one of 3 minis that I gifted to the quilters here who swapped fabrics with me! I used some of their fabrics in each of the quilts. It was fun to do! They were all 3 done by hand, HP, HA, HQ. I was so thrilled with the quilters who gifted me also with their fabrics! Sue Page has given me lots of gorgeous fabrics as you can see in this little mini as well as many other people here! I threw in some interesting vintage fabs as well. It was fun swapping too! It can enhance your stash! At quilter's cache, they don't really have a plan for the corner treatments of the ribbon border, but the Lord showed me how to do it so that the bottom left corner shows where the ribbon starts and ends! I loved it! Hope you enjoy this little mini that was gifted to lynnsim! (close-ups included too)

Love the brilliance of the colors. They are absolutely gorgeous.
A home is built of peace and love,
and not of wood and stone,
    a place where happiness lives
    and memories are sewn.

No matter how tough life is, it sure beats the alternative.

Ok, here are the patterns. The one on the left is the cut out size and the one on the right is the actual template you will prep your pieces with. I joined the 2.5" squares together in not paying attn to colors as the leaves will cover most of the underneath work. I found it easiest to join the grid together first, then you won't be cutting off any corners that way in the seam allowances by assembling it later. Join the 36 squares either by hand sewing or machine. I liked using 1/8" seams to give more room for the leaves. Hope this helps in making your mini Orange Peel! bol to you!
