Wow- you do the best work! I have wondered lately what kinds of things longarmers are wary of when you get a quilt to be quilted (for future reference). I hope I don't have any of these issues, whatever they are!

The quilt is beautiful. But as always, your quilting is outstanding.

I am not really particular...Honestly. I get so many questions about peiced backings, cut threads and that sort of thing..I am pretty easy going....I peice my backings all the time..I am not the best about cutting my threads so I just do them as I go along on the long arm...no big deal.

Most of the time we just NEED to have the backing fabric larger than the front..all of us have different lengths and widths on this.
The quilt needs to be pressed at some point..it doesn't have to be flawless...especially if you are mailing it..I will iron it if I need to...

The BIGGEST worry to all of us ( I am assuming everyone) is BORDERS!!
Quilter should/need to measure borders....most of the time I can ease them in and make it work..but sometimes we just cant...and really the goal for LAQ's is that after we take that quilt off the frame it should lay flat...sometimes I can get it to lay flat even though it wasn't when I got it and I am proud of that! But sometimes I can't quilt a preferred design on a wavy border and we have to do an all over ..and it is really a sad thing becuase it is disappointing to myself and the owner of the quilt....so I will leave the choice up to my client...re-sew borders or settle for another design.

That is my two cents worth.
