    Grandma's Strippy 1930's reproduction

I have been several years in the piecing of this top just for me. Had a tiny block of time the other day as our roadway was being oiled, keeping me at home and customers at bay, so I loaded up this top and played all day. Using Hobbs 80/20 batting, white thread and quilting with terry twist and feathers - what a great day!! I stitched the binding to the front before I removed it from my Gammill (no computer nor stitch regulator) so now all I need to do is hand stitch the binding down on the back. Hope you enjoy!

So nice that you got to finish one for yourself. I have 2 to finish up for Xmas and then I plan on making/finishing some quilts for me.

That is so very pretty, don't know why but it makes me think of my husband's deceased Aunt Pauline. Is that weird or OK?

Great quilt....if I lived closer I would beg to do the hand sewing on the binding - that is my favorite part of making a quilt.

I love this quilt pattern and I love the colors you chose. Your quilting is georgous.
My grandmother had me sewing blocks of this pattern together on her treddle (sp) sewing machine when I was 5 or 6 years old.
