Nice job, I am also doing a 'grandmother's flower garden' by hand and it is taking me a very long time. A good traveling project.
Will post what i have done so far.

wow, I'm impressed with how quickly you're getting this done! And it's so beautiful...your piecing is great! Looking forward to seeing it when it's completed. It will be a treasure for sure.
