So adorable and oh so thoughtful of you to teach them and have the patience. As grandparents we seem to have a lot more of that as we get older. LOL. Even if this is the only quilt they make they will remember this for the rest of their lives. Such sweet memories. And yes, the pictures add to the special occasion. I've had my 18 month old grandson sit on my lap as I thread my machine and wind the bobbin and he thinks that is just the greatest thing. Of course he's to young yet to do any sewing but I'm sure in time I'll have him doing the same thing. We look forward to more pictures and progress reports. GREAT JOB Julian and Jaden!!

Jaden, that was a great thing to do for your Mother. She will treasure it forever. I know I would. Gail

What a wonderful thing you are doing with your grandsons! And their mother is in for a very nice surprise! I hope they catch the quilting bug and keep going!

What great kids to do that for their mom. Don't forget to add the pictures of them constructing the quilt to the gift. Their mom is a very lucky mom.

Thanks to all for the great compliments. i had them over again today to work on it. They were not the same as the other day! into everything and totally distracted by everything! but we managed to get the top finished. I didn't correct all their mistakes-just a few when it was causing problems. Here is a picture of them after i finally got them to finish sewing the last seams.

They look like they're really enjoying the WHOLE process of making a quilt for the DM especially the arranging part. This quilt will be soooooo special for all of them. You're a great grandma to be doing this with them.
Gorgeous quilt top. I'd BE proud to own this quilt too!!
