Default Grandson's Quilt Finished

This pattern is called Kite Flight and with the bright colors I knew my 4 year old grandson would love it. I ordered the kit from Craftsy.com. Do have to say this project didn't start out too well and had many bumps in the road with it. I cut the fabric wrong the the first time so had to order more. Then right in the middle of it my Janome died on me. Got my new machine (Yay!) but not having quilted with it before I did have a few problems which a seam ripper took care of but doing that is no fun at all! I broke 4 needles and then after I got the binding attached and started doing the hand sewing I realized I'd attached it to the wrong side of the quilt first. UGHHHH!! I refused to rip out anymore stitches so went with it and finished it this morning. My grandson will be here this weekend so will give it to him then and I'm certain he won't mind that everything is not perfect. I tell him when I make a quilt for him that when he wraps up in it it's like Mawmaw is giving him a big hug.

Very bright and "manly" for a 4-year old. It will grown well with him.

That exactly what I feel like when I wrap up in the quilt my grandmother made for me 30 years ago! Your quilt is wonderful.
