I find pictures I like, enlarge them to the size I want them. Cut the patterns up into pieces like a puzzle and put them back together and applique.

I started out appliqueing on sweatshirts and my daughter's friend was having a baby and made my first baby quilt 21 years ago. Have progressed over the years. Getting better at quilting but can't seem to conquer it free motion. Usually have to make a pattern on the quilt with a disappearing marker and spray the pattern away. I would hate to ruin the quilt due to my lousy free motion.

Thanks everyone. I've envied everyone's quilting for years. You all are my inspiration.
