Granny Mary's Quilt
#21
I think you are right, Sandra. I know my Grandma Vallie (Granny Mary's daughter) used aprons, house dresses and shirts to make her quilts. Sometimes when my Mom looked at one of Grandma Vallie's quilts, she'd say, "I remember that dress."

You indeed have a treasure. We have three that my husband's grandmother made. She made him a double wedding quilt-when he was five years old! In fact, she made one for each of her 16 grandchildren. So, these quilts are the treasures of the family.

That is just incredible, and really special! What a great way for her to show her love for each of her grandchildren.

What a treasure you have in your family. If there isn't a label, you could put her name on it to insure it stays in your family. I really like the pink background for the scrappy blocks. It gives it a Happy look and made me smile. Thank you for sharing your photo and quilt with us.
