I said I was going to use what I had in my stash this year too. What month is this? 2014 right? Oh no, I guess I didn't stick with it! Are you sure it isn't 2014? That means I only made it for 2 1/2 months in 2013. Darn.... Seriously your piece is beautiful. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to make it this year without buying a thing.

I am amazed on how much fabric I do have in my stash...not including my scrap bins. Wow...and to think a few years a go I had none...for you newbies...your staff will build quickly. I think I have enough to make quilts for a few years. I am going to try and get my stash down to just my livingroom...it has extended to a hope chest, hall closet, a few bins in the cellar. Now that I look in the stash, instead of going to the store, its amazing to see what I already have and my to do list in my head....i need to start writing them all down and check off once done. Next on the list...Hexagon quilt, along with another granny square runner, I try and work on my granny blocks each evening during the week. Oh...need to finish another Dr. Suess lap quilt. Just need to FMQ and bind...been dragging my feet on that one....trying to figure out what to use for the backing. No hurry for my DGD. I would like to wait a few years to give it to her - she is only 3 months old.
