Default Grease on Quilt -- Update

My double wedding ring quilt is quilted.

Thanks to the help of the board the giant grease blob deposited by my walking foot between the golden rings came out. Since this is scheduled as a 50th anniversary gift, you folks saved me from a nervous breakdown with your cleaning suggestions. Thanks so much!

I'm so glad the grease is gone. What finally worked for you? I'd like to file it away in my what to do when it happens to you file.

Beautiful quilt. The recipients will be very happy.

Quilt looks wonderful! Can you tell us what worked with the grease? As I recall, there were many suggestions.

The grease solution that worked was Dawn dish soap and peroxide. You can't even see the spot up close now and it was BAD before.
