You got my curiosity going. I had to check out all the Pony Express items. I could see the medallions/collector pins easily.

Thanks for all the kind comments, I enjoyed deciding on the elements to pull it all together, the barbed wire piece came from randomly wandering into the Amish store that was by an appointment site I had to go to, and explaining to the owner what I was doing and asking if he had any suggestions from what he had (one of those stuff all over the place from his buying trips places). He thought a minute, walked over to a big cabinet and pulled the barbed wire from off the top, told me the background of it and said “will this work?” Only perfectly since I was trying to determine how to embellish the old board I wanted to use! I said “how much?” “5 bucks?” -Sold! After having no luck finding old horseshoes At local antique places I went to an unlikely spot-Amazon! And found just what I needed! Also where I got the leather to make the loops. My husband “antiqued” some cup hooks and put it all together for me. So much fun to make!
