    I like raw edge for time and teaching my daughters but the look of needle turn is so much prettier in my opinion... if (that is) it is done correctly.

    Each type of applique has its own place. You did a great job and your 1st quilt is awesome.

    Great job! I prefer needle turned. Guess I just think it will hold up longer than raw edge.
