Hand quilters are in a relm of their own, and should have a quilting category of heir own when being judged. I love your work

Beautiful quilts! I would love to learn how to hand quilt. My mother did that but never tried to teach me how. I prefer hand quilting.

Well, that's a little far from Michigan, so I can't invite you over for a quilting day... I'm always eager to show new hand quilters how it's done! :-D

Wow, just wow. All the hand quilting shown in this thread is absolutely gorgeous. I'm a new quilter and starting to put the notions together to try hand quilting. I have a project almost finished that will be my first hand quilted piece. I've watched some videos on youtube, it's looks fairly straightforward, however I'm sure that's an understatement.

Again beautiful work all.

Quote: I would love to do this but I am so chicken.......The thought of hand quilting is just overwhelming to me. I have the hoop, the needles, the thread.....chicken, chicken, chicken. Scaredy cat chicken.
Is there a quilt shop nearby where you could take a hand quilting class? Or a friend who hand quilts and could teach
you? You need a thimble that fits well too.
