Very very pretty. I hope you have her name permanently on the quilt so it doesn't grow legs.

Be sure your name is on the quilt or her name. quilts have a way of getting lost in a nursing home.

It's really pretty and I'm sure she will love it. It's so special when people take time to do things for people who can no longer do for themselves. You did a super job!

It's beautiful. Just make sure that you have large identification on the back. Things like that grow legs and walk away very quickly.

I love this and you MIL will love it also

My mom passed away in January of this year, I was lucky enough to receive her and my grandmother handkerchiefs, this look like the best way I have seen to place them with out damage to them.
Could you let me know how you placed the handkerchiefs, I think i read that you fused them.

    happy quilting yippie

This is lovely. I have a ton of vintage hankies that were to pretty to toss.
I may have to pull them out & look at them again now.

It's lovely and I'm sure your MIL will love it! I've seen those on the blog and would like to make 1 one day. I think about all the beautiful handkerchiefs we used to give my grandmother when I was a girl. She wouldn't use them and said she was saving them for a special occasion. I remember her taking some of them out of hiding one day and some had dry rotted! Made me know that I will use EVERYTHING I own. Wish I had some of those now to make a quilt as beautiful as yours!
