I have one that a friend made. I use the weight (hers is full of sand) as a pin cushion. I put the weight on top of my table and the bag hangs down. I do like the sewing machine mat with all the pockets. I keep losing my feet, snips, and starters.

What a great idea! So much prettier than what I use which is one of those bags you get at the hospital that sticks to a table with tape. Nicely done!

I like it. I use the square boxes that my Restasis eye drops come in. I don't empty the threads until it is full. Just snap the lid on when I am finished for the day.
The assorted thread scraps can be used to make interesting art.

Would you share your pattern or tell us where we can find it?

That is a great idea. I don't use anything so am either "wearing" my threads or am doing alot of vaccuming.

I use a square kleenex box. I take one where ever we get together to quilt.

I use the smaller square plastic ice buckets you find in motels. When I've had to pay a huge fortune for rms. Iso feel no guilt about taking one. So now I have two.

I love the scrappiness of my sewing rm. when I'm deep into a project. When I'm finished, I clean up, run a vacuum & start fresh.
