    Hang In There!

I have wanted to make a wall hanging like one I saw somewhere some years ago. I saved the picture but never knew the name. So the other day, decided to try and make it. I wanted to use scraps so made 9 patches and then put sashing around. It took me several days to get it finished. Since it isn't exactly like the picture I saw, I renamed it 'Hang In There'. Then with the help of a search on the internet, found out the pattern is still available and is called Tighten the Tension. The quilt site is http://chrisgilman.com/patterns.html. It still makes me smile. Hope I am not breaking rules when I look at someone else's work and yet make my own from it. Mine has the green sashing and looks way worse than the pattern one by Chris Gilman. But mine still makes me smile.

I love it. Very, very clever.
I promise not to buy any more fabric until I see something I really like. Or it's on sale. Or I think it might match something.

I have had my fabrics selected for this quilt for weeks and just haven't started on it yet. I plan to use Riley Blake's clock fabric alternating with the 9 patches. I keep thinking about how I would do the finished edges where the block is missing. Yours is great! I like the eyes on your missing block. How big did you cut the squares for the 9 patches?

Adorable. You did a wonderful changing the pattern to suit yourself. I must admit, I love your scrappy. (And the ties on the shoes are adorable.)

What a hoot! I like yours better. :-)
There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good. So, love the people who treat you right. Think good thoughts for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of LIFE...Getting back up is LIVING... (Borrowed from Airwick156 :-)
