Default Happy Birds, by Jen Kingwell

I just finished this today and hoping to quilt this weekend. Kingwell patterns are so fun to do and there are lots of different techniques used in this quilt. All applique is turned edge and machine sewn. I used a FQ bundle and background fabric featuring birds and blenders from my stash to complete this. I'll finish this off with buttons for the bird eyes. Since I made this in the duration of my sisters illness as a stress reliever, which I cried thru most of it, I decided to gift this to her. Cheerful....and she collects bird houses so also appropriate. I took some close ups for you of the fabric cuz it's so pretty... Backing will be gray and binding will be multi...

Ah, so sweet. I hope your sister is better now-You're right the colors are cheerful so may help lift both of your spirits. It's a really pretty top and I look forward to seeing it as a quilt in the near future.
