My daughter and I both have featherweights- mine came from my MIL, who dragged it home from a garage sale and innocently said "Is this one of those old sewing machines that you drool over?" I almost fell over, since the machine was almost perfect, hardly any scratches or wear, and had all the attachments, the oil can and even the buttonholer in the box. Even the case is in great condition! She was 'born' in 1955, my daughters was born in 1951, hers was mine at first, and is in a little more well loved condition. Welcome to the featherweight club- they are wonderful little machines :-)
