Happy the Dog
#1
HI made this for a special little girl-I work with her grandmother and the 5yr old girl is dalmatian mad. They recently lost their labrador/ridgback cross dog whose name was Happy- now she wants a dalmatian dog.The outside border has the words Happy scattered throughout the print. I adapted the pattern which apeared in a Quiltmaker magazine a few years ago. There are some great American Quilting magazines out there which I buy regularly when they are available in Australia.
I have been so busy lately with work so this is my first post for a while-but I still look at all those beautiful quilt pictures that are posted-still trying to figure out the retirement thing and head over to NZ to see my mother who lives in Christchurch where they had the big earthquake a few weeks back. It has been a horrific year for tragedies and now Japan- life is so short and there are hundreds of quilt projects waiting-roll on retirement. We have just had Prince William visit over here yesterday-he visited all the cyclone areas and spent the night in Cairns last night-no doubt he boosted the spirits of many people.
Hope you enjoy my wall hanging-the little girl treasures it.
