    A happy, happy quilter!!!

We spent the morning exploring estate and garage sales and ran into a couple of fantastic fabric deals! I bought part of what is pictured below at an estate sale and part at a garage sale, for a total of 29+ yards of fabric, plus the extra pieces already cut that were in several separate baggies! Some of the pieces are quite large, with one being 6 yards, another at 5 yards and some at 2 1/2 yards.

If I were to just average it out at about $7 a yard it would all come to over $200, not counting the extra pre-cut pieces!

ALL of this for a grand total of only $10.

    I'm a happy camper...er...quilter! lol

Being skinny isn't easy, so I gave up and opted for being sexy instead. (aunty acid)

Very lucky. Here in Tasmania I hardly ever see fabric suitable for quilting at garage sales or op shops.

Funny, Terri! lol You're probably right, since DH actually ASKS for fabrics and machines, etc, when we arrive at each and every sale. lol

Wow! What a score! I keep telling my DH about all these wonderful yard sale finds that people on this board find; and that I hope to score like that someday. Went to several yard sales yesterday and today; no luck guess it's not my turn yet.

Congratulations to you! Don't you just love yard sales and estate sales? I went to yard sales with my sister in Indiana Saturday and found quite a bit of fabric in an antique store. I paid about $5 for the fabric and a sack full of lace trim. Love a bargain.
