    Hardest Block Ever!

For Christmas I bought myself the entire kit for the General's Wives quilt. This is a real stretch for me, and I am taking so much care to get this as perfect as is possible (which, for me, means "as good as I can possibly do"; the Quilt Police will never see this!). Yesterday I completed block # 3 - picture below. This is by far the hardest block I have ever made in my 3 years as a quilter. It is a 12" square. Not all the points are all as pointed as they should be, but all the stripes are running in the same direction, which was an accomplishment all by itself. I'm really proud of myself and just had to brag a bit.

Wonderful job. Your points are great. You can't see them unless you really look close, in fact if you hadn't said something I wouldn't have been looking.

It looks like a hard one, but yours looks great to me. You will be proud of it when you get finished for sure.

I think you have a right to brag. It is beautiful and all the star points look wonderful to me -- far better than I can do. Hang in there and show the quilt again when it is finished.

Bo ahead and brag--you did a great job. We're all clapping for you.

I love to challenge myself with difficult blocks (cussing along the way LOL). I did the Farmers Wife Sampler quilt and learned so much. #1: Starch; #2: a lot of seams lay flatter when pressed open.

Good luck-I can't wait to see more of these great blocks.

your block is wonderful! with each new (difficult block) your skills are improving- and by the end of the quilt it will be interesting for you to look over your blocks and see how far you have come-from the beginning to the end-great job- show us all of your blocks as you get them done- we love seeing them-and will also be able to see your progress & skills growing
