This quilt was started when my grandson Joshua was a baby I put it away and forgot it until we moved . Then it just kept being pushed around for ten years. Jusha is 32 and has a year old son Michael now, so I finished it . This is the picture of them with the quilt.

I think the fact that you finished it is great. Both will enjoy the story behind it. Thanks for sharing.

Well, you have me beat. My UFO is only 21 years old - - for my daughter when she was born. I must be saving it for when she has a baby. Your (no longer) UFO is super cute as is your GGGS. I think that the GGS will forgive you.

So, Joshua still gets the quilt, after a fashion! Some things just take time, that's all! :D

You were obviously meant to make this quilt for your GS. I bet he, his Dad and you all love it and how heart warming to have a photo of them both under the quilt.
BTW i love your quilt and as someone else said it is timeless. Bravo Grandma.

I have a UFO that is 38 years old. If I had completed it at the time it would have been my first quilt. It is embroidered cross stitch blocks. I had the embroidery done and went to the hospital early. He only lived a few minutes. Every time I have moved it moved with me. I couldn't finish it and I couldn't get rid of it.
Our guild has a UFO, WIP challenge for this year so I got it out, have found sashing material and will try to finish it this year. It is time.
Just don't know what I'll do with it when it is done.
