I know this adjective has been used many times in this thread but the cows really are adorable.

I love the cows and calves too. We used to have a lot of cows...I loved seeing the babies being baby sat by another momma. I NEVER say MOO to a cow, I always talk like they can understand me. I tell them how beautiful their eyes are and how pretty their babies are. The big job of keeping an eye on all of the calving cows, keeping the babies healthy...all of that is a huge job...many sleepless nights, for sure.

I have a favorite cow story. One of our cows' lost her calf at birth (dead). She grieved and mourned for a week. My husband could not bear to move her to another pen where the babyless cows were so he left her in the pature with the mothers with the newborn babies. She was so sad. One day husband came home and said the grieving mother had a baby now. He looked and looked for a recently calved momma with no baby (thought maybe a mom did not do her job of caring for her newborn) but could not find any recently calved cows with out a baby. the only thing we figured out was that someone had twins and grieving momma snagged one of them. She was so happy and we were so happy for her. God Bless cows...and then there are a few that will put you over the fence...just ask my granddaughter's BF about what happened to him yesterday. haha

I collected cows for a long time but ran out of room. I wrote a story about cows once. A friend liked to liken herself to a Rhino because she thought she was so strong/tough. Her daughter and I likened ourselves to cows so I wrote a story on the virture of cows versus rhinos. That was back in 86 right before cows started to be a decor item.
